What kind of acne medication should I try for mild acne? About how much will this cost?

I have a few big zits here and there, a lot of blackheads on my forehead, on my nose, and a few on my chin, plus my skin gets really red. My friend recently got acne medication and it’s helped her skin so much, she hardly has any pimples at all. However, I’m worried about his cost. About how much would an acne med. cost that would cure the things I listed above?

well i would suggest proactive its like [20 dollars at the mall] but i dunno how serious the problem is. To keep my skin slear i just use mild soap and exfoliate lightly every morning and night. Hope that works. I also heard that Cetaphil is good its like [3-5 dollars]

First of all, according to your description, this acne is not MILD. this is moderately extensive acne. MILD acne is a couple of whiteheads and a few milia here and there. Big zits, blackheads and redness is way more than mild.
Okay down to business. Try Neutragena acne foaming face wash once daily (using it more than that can dry out your skin, causing it to make more oil and causing more zits!) and use those premoistened astringent pads every night. they’re both around 4 or 5 dollars at the drug store. And they work. Cheap stuff isn’t always bad!

I use proactiv and its great! It’s really worked for me and it doesn’t dry out my skin. Check out their website and you can find the different price ranges and packages. The basic package is about 40 dollars and if you use it right it lasts awhile. It may seem a bit more pricey than what you can find in stores but trust me it’s worth it!!

Soak cotton wool in mint juice, and apply every day. Mix cinnamon powder with lime juice to make a fine paste, Apply on pimples. Check out for more useful info.

I struggled with acne for years and I finally found the solution that works for me. We have been fooled, tricked, deceived, and just plain lied to. It’s time that someone put a stop to it, and everyone learn the truth!

Those of us who suffer from acne have usually been given 2 choices and neither of them work:

1. Over the counter remedies such as cleansers, creams, ointments, etc. These things have been proven over and over again not to work. Why? It does not address the root cause of the problem.

2. Go see a doctor and or dermatologist. They will generally prescribe prescription drugs which include topicals and or antibiotics. This, too, has been proven over and over again not to work. Why? It does not address the root cause of the problem.

I found a step-by-step program that cured my acne and it has never come back. It is amazing and doesn’t use any drugs or doctors. The truth is that acne can be cured…if we know the secret the doctors and drug companies don’t want us to know.
